Not hating, cause I'm cooler than that. But I always see Kirk/Spock with Uhura being the one who ends up with the worst deal or made into a villain, or shoved on someone else randomly. So how about a fic where Kirk isn't all that brilliant? There's too much amazing!Kirk. Maybe my kink is kind-of-asshole!Kirk. So he sees some memory or something and thinks that he deserves Spock, and tries to steal him away. And Uhura thinks maybe Spock wants that, and starts to back off and just do her job like the awesome bamf she is. But Spock doesn't want Kirk at all, tells him so and then goes to Uhura and convinces her Kirk will never be his choice.

Longshot I know but... yeah.

Hope you don't get all kindsa ugly replies from people like that Anon at the top of page 1 in here.

After watching some TOS episodes it seems that Spock has a thing for creatures that purr - cats and tribbles. So, I would love to see a fic where Uhura "purrs" for Spock. Whether that could be one of the things that attracted him to her or later, I don't mind, just want some purring to occur. ;)

Spock had finished his duty period and was slightly fatigued, unusual for him. Uhura had left four hours earlier than he had; she'd been on the day watch. It was now 2000 by the ship's chronometers, early evening, as intimated by the corridor lighting. He wearily punched in the entry code to his quarters and went in. The lights were on, but very low; almost at his meditation settings, with an emphasis on the warm spectrum of yellows and oranges.

He heard a little sound ... "M-r-r-rrr-p?"

He was expecting Uhura to join him later in the evening and dismissed the sound as an aftereffect of extremely loud transmissions the Bridge crew had endured most of that day, dealing with Tellarite ships that were in the area. Tellarites were difficult enough to communicate with; why did all their transmissions have to be at top volume? Uhura had tried to modulate the reception so it wasn't so grating, but there was little she'd been able to do.

Spock went into the head, stripped off his clothes, and looked at himself in the mirror. Fatigued. Shadows under the eyes. Required a shave. He tried to imagine what Nyota saw when she looked at him, and knew he'd have better luck with that once they were touching each other and their meld asserted itself.

He knew she loved his general tall, lean bodily shape, his shoulder muscles and arms and the form of his face, and the depth of his eyes, and the shape of his mouth ... and many other things about his body he preferred not to review when he was alone, lest he start some foolish behavior -- something he felt he and Nyota did much better together. Taking up his razor, he stepped into the shower. His beard was such that it was easier to shave after his face had been thoroughly moistened and steamed. Luckily the Enterprise's showers had a recycled water option. Odd that he, a Vulcan, opted for water showers twice a day.

Feeling somewhat refreshed, he finished with his shower and began toweling off, stepping out of the stall, and beheld ...

"Nyota?"

She was gracefully attired in a velvet, body-hugging outfit with a ... a long tail depending from her derriere, and a tightly-fitting headpiece with pointed ears [quite unlike his own] on the top of her head.

"M-r-r-r-rp?" She was making the sound in the back of her throat, musically, chirruping like a cat, Felis Domesticus.

She rubbed one side of her face on his bare chest a few times, and began lapping at the water droplets she found there. Then she dropped to her knees, gracefully, like a cat, and began licking all the droplets on his feet and legs ...

"Aahgh ... Nyota ..." he motioned as if to help her up, but she sinuously wound the top half of her body between his legs and rose up behind him, continuing her gentle licks from the backs of his knees, to his thighs, buttocks, and back, up to his shoulders, to the nape of his neck. He groaned.

She wound around under his arm at his right side, and on tiptoe, put her lips next to his right ear. Her tongue and teeth gently nibbled his almost non-existent lobe, and worked their way around the back rim; then her tongue licked the tip, swirled around the point lightly, and Spock nearly lost his balance. The she purred, right by his ear:

"R-r-rggg-r-r-r-rggg-r-r-r-rgggg-rrrrr-r-r-rrr ..."

"Oh, Nyota," he said, scooping her up. He put her on his bed and, sitting beside her, made as if to unzip the catsuit, but, with her eyes flashing, Uhura swatted his hand away, just as a cat would. As he paused, she stretched luxuriously, expanding her ribcage, her back arched, and she looked at him playfully and grabbed one of his hands, bringing it down her front in a petting motion.

Is it possible for arguments to be a kink? Maybe a non-sexual one?

Spock/Uhura Double-Amnesia. Several years after XI. They're on an away mission together, and yadda yadda yadda aliens wipe their memories, but only their memories of each other. (So no NOMAD or katra recovery re-education needed. Fuck that NOMAD shit.)

They're both still fully-functioning officers, with their educations and other personal relationships intact. But they are strangers to each other. I'd love to see any interpretation of this, although it would be exceptionally awesome to see how their personalities may be altered, or how the crew would react (assuming that after several years in space together, the main players would be aware of their relationship).

Happy ending or total angst, if anyone tackles the concept either way I will be ecstatic.

Spock is injured during an away mission, and only he and Uhura have made it to a secluded point of safety. While they wait for rescue (which is a long time off), Uhura helps distract Spock from his pain with a hand massage. She is *highly* effective.

And while this is meant to highlight the hand!porn, some actual porn would not be amiss either. :)

"Damn it. DAMN it!" Uhura hissed through her teeth. The rest of the landing party had made it to safety; she'd heard them beam out. She and Spock had slid down an unstable rock face and were surrounded by minerals she just knew were going to interfere with communications and transport lock. She knew they'd keep looking for them, but it was going to be hard to beam them out. They might need to bring a shuttle down, a matter of hours, not minutes.

And Spock had hit his head. Badly. Green blood flowed from what seemed to be a bad scalp wound, but she knew all head injuries bled like hell. They were both dirty from the slide, so her priority was to clean the wound and somehow seal it. And to keep Spock awake, if he was concussed, and it looked like he was. It was unusual for his eyes to wander in the way they were right now, as though he couldn't focus.

Each of them had a tiny first aid kit tucked into one of their boots. Standard issue; sterile wipes and sealant and a very small bottle of fluid for wound irrigation. Uhura got to work, irrigating, then wiping around the wound and wiping off the excess blood for good measure -- why attract any wildlife that might happen to have a good sense of smell?

Spock groaned, also unusual for him; his eyelids were fluttering and his pale skin looked like white marble with an undertone of green.

"Spock. ....Spock!" she said. "Are you with me? Can you hear me?"

"... Hear you ..."

"Good. We need to move, and I can't lift you very well. You know how I tease you about being so dense."

"Muscular and skeletal structure. Oh ... joke?"

"I need you to stay with me, Spock. I think you may have a concussion. Are you in pain?"

" ... manage ..."

"There's a cave just over there, beloved, opposite where the slide was. We're going in there, but I need to take some readings. Will you watch me?"

She turned back after she had gone a couple of meters. His eyes were closed. She went over to him and [rudely, she thought, and mentally apologized] pinched his cheek. His large brown eyes opened wide.

"And to keep your attention, Commander ..." She took off her uniform dress and pillowed it under his head. "I mean it now, watch me. I don't want to get ripped asunder by wild beasts in this sexy underwear without a witness."

"... readings ... no life here ..."

He was still watching her as she entered the cave, tricorder out front, trying to get readings above the interference. Well, it looked safe. They had phasers, so to hell with any animal that tried attacking her man.

After a stressful mission the crew are having trouble sleeping and end up inadvertently congregating in the lower decks with Scotty and sharing his booze, finding comfort in just being with each other when there's no impending doom. Would love Kirk/McCoy and Spock/Uhura worked into the fic but it could be Gen as well if Anon prfers.

I have this image of Uhura that I admit stems largely from TOS rather than the new movie, but I see her being very much into old jazz and the like. Ok this is a Doctor Who Star Trek crossover. The Doctor somehow ends up on board the Enterprise and as per usual something goes boom. The Doctor and Spock try to outsmart each with being brilliant trying to figure it out. Bonus points for a flirtiaous Captain Jack being along and coming on to Bones much to Kirk's chagin. Pre-Children of Earth, please as I don't think I could deal with depressed Jack. Established Kirk/McCoy as the pairing also with Spock/Uhura. The Doctor stumping Uhura with an unknown language would also be awesome. Oh and Scotty/Tardis would be beyond wonderful.

Has anybody written a story where Spock and Uhura meet at the Academy but don't get together immediately?

Don't get me wrong, I love reading zipless S/U where there's this blazing attraction and then *wham*. But it seems to me like more people should explore the idea that these two characters are so likely to unlikely to go against regs. Even if Spock felt an illogical attraction to his student he'd be be all "the needs of the many" and Uhura's not only reserved, but very conscious of all she's had to do to advance.

Spock's Pon Farr comes at the worst possible time: When they are physically separated from each other by only a short distance (or barrier like a wall or something) and unable to reach each other except to hold hands. So close, yet so far. Spock is in torment, as is Uhura for being unable to save him.

I want:

SpockPrime and Uhura have to meld (anon's choice for why), and in the meld, Uhura comes to understand how just close Spock and Jim's counterparts from the Prime timeline really were. She understands the concept of t'hy'la, and believes that her Spock and Jim's very close friendship is moving in that direction.

She confronts her Jim about it, as she and Spock are planning to bond. She knows that he and SpockPrime had melded, and knows he must be aware of their counterparts' relationship. She isn't angry, or jealous, but she is direct, and firm. She just wants to know. What is the story here? Are her Spock and Jim hiding something, and how will her bonding with Spock affect their friendship?

I want Jim to really stand out here as The Captain Must Always Be Apart and Alone. That is, the whole "I've always known I'll die alone, Nyota. What kind of future is that for Spock?" I want him to tell her he loves Spock--but he also loves her (in a platonic way). And he considers them HIS crew, and his duty to them always takes precedent over his feelings. Tell her, "My luck is only golden until it involves people I love. Then it turns everyone it touches into ashes. Like my father. Like Gaila. I will NOT be the cause of Spock's death. Like I was in the other timeline. You can keep him safe better than me, Ny. And it's my job to keep both of you safe by staying the hell away from you--and anyone else in my crew."

In other words: ANGST!!! Noble, lonely Jim, who has the Enterprise as his one love, and who is too afraid to love anyone because of how everyone he cares about ends dead or hurt.

Bonus points if you have SpockPrime and Jim end up comforting each other.

Epic wins if you have Spock and Uhura having some fierce healing sex and both of them committing together to watch over Jim and protecting him from himself.
